Facial Skin Care Tips

To maintain that healthy glow on your face, try to follow some of this facial skin care tips:

• Never sleep with your make-up on. This is a big no no! Doing so will invite all kinds of skin breakouts and skin problems because letting make-up and dirt stay on your face long enough brings with it bacteria and infection. Always remove your make-up before going to sleep.

• Use proper make-up remover since this guarantees all of your make-up are wiped out clean. Water is not enough to remove make-up.

• Test a facial skin product on a small patch on your skin to determine if you are not allergic to its contents.

• Friction is the number one enemy of your facial skin. Too much rubbing by hand or by a coarse cloth can cause pre-mature aging of your face so avoid this at all times.

• Wear sun block lotions to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

What's Your Facial Skin Care Regimen?

Women know the importance of facial skin care. The health of your skin depends on how much care and attention you put into it. Having a facial skin care regimen is a matter of commitment and it is always followed strictly.

A facial skin care routine begins with cleaning to remove whatever dust or oil that has accumulated on your skin. Use facial foam cleansers and facial creams to help remove the pollutants on your skin. Remember to do an upward stroke or circular strokes when applying these products. It stimulates the skin at the same time, this will prevent premature wrinkles from developing. Cleansing before applying make up and before going to bed is recommended.

Another facial skin care regimen is exfoliating which is usually done once or twice a week. This procedure helps remove dead skin cells which clog the pores resulting from pimples, blackheads, whiteheads or acne. To moisturize is probably the most important part of a facial skin care regimen. A dry skin tends to break and promotes infection or bacteria from getting into the skin. This often results to skin acne or pimples. Use mild and fragrant free moisturizers to avoid the harsh ingredients that come with those with strong scents.
